Photeon Unveils AWG
Photeon Technologies will introduce its 64-channel AWG Mux/Demux device at the International Optoelectronics Exhibition in Tokyo
July 9, 2003
BREGENZ, Austria -- Leading chip designer Photeon Technologies will present the 64-channel AWG Mux/Demux device at the International Optoelectronics Exhibition in Tokyo from July 15 – 18. One of the latest developments in AWG technology, the 64-channel device is a highly cost-effective means of increasing a fiber’s transmission capacity. Photeon multiplexing and demultiplexing modules are available in 4 through to 64 channel counts with 50GHz or 100GHz channel spacing, all featuring a small footprint, very low crosstalk and low insertion loss.
The Austrian-based company is also at the forefront of Photonic Crystal technology and offers a range of photonic design and consulting services. Not only do the microscopically structured photonic crystals allow much higher integration densities to be achieved, they also make possible new designs far superior to existing optical and microelectronic components in both size and performance.
Photeon’s products will be displayed by the Hanamura Optics Corporation, located at booth 64 in the International Exhibition Hall. InterOpto can boast 274 exhibitors from around the world presenting the latest in optoelectronic technology, along with industry and technology trend seminars.
