ANAHEIM, Calif. -- OFC 2002 -- OPTRONX Inc., a world leader in the design of high speed, optoelectronic, components and subsystems, announced today that it is demonstrating its OPX10GM 40kilometer, uncooled, 10Gb/s, 1.3um Transponder at the OFC Conference in Anaheim, CA (booth #6597). The OptronX Transmitter provides an output power of +6dBm, and with an OptronX Receiver sensitivity of -19dBm, the T-R of 25dB is more than adequate to cover a 40kilometer span at 1.3um. The OPX10GM multi-rate transponder is the latest addition to the OPX10G line of 10Gbps, 1310nm Transponders, which are built with state-of-the-art OptronX optical transmitters and receivers. The OPX10GM is the smallest, lowest power transponder on the market, and it has the best uncooled eye in the business. The MSA compliant, multi-rate module is fully rate selectable for the standard SONET (9.9Gbps), 10GbE (10.3Gbps), and SONET FEC (10.6Gbps) rates, and will function at the ONT (10.7Gbps) rate. The module is designed to cover fiber span lengths from 600meters (VSR) to 40kilometers (LR). OptronX Inc.For more information on OFC 2002, please visit: www.nottheofc.com
