OSLO, Norway -- The auction of frequencies in the 2.6 GHz band was concluded after seven days and 78 rounds of bidding. Eight companies participated. Total revenue raised in the auction is NOK 228 881 000. Five companies have acquired frequencies: Arctic Wireless AS, Craig Wireless Systems Ltd., Hafslund Telekom AS, NetCom AS and Telenor ASA. The outcome with respect to the assignment of specific lots is presented here together with the prices for individual lots.

The spectrum licences are technology and service neutral, they are tradable and they will be awarded with 15 years duration. The frequencies can typically be used for fixed, nomadic and mobile wireless broadband services.

2010-2025 MHz

Together with the auction of the 2.6 GHz band, the band 2010-2025 MHz has also been sold. The band is acquired by Inquam Broadband GmbH. The revenue is NOK 1 000 000. This band can for instance be used for nomadic and mobile broadband services.
