NetHawk completes the acquisition of ipNetfusion, provider of network simulation and load testing systems

OULU, Finland -- NetHawk, a leading provider of mobile network testing and measurement tools,has acquired all of the capital stock of ipNetfusion, a US-based leading providerof network simulation and load testing systems. As a result of the acquisition,ipNetfusion has become a fully owned subsidiary of NetHawk.
Both NetHawk and ipNetfusion have a good track record of sales growth andprofitability, and there are no overlapping activities. The pro forma turnover for 2004was M€30 for the combined company, which currently employs approximately 300employees in nine countries. The combined product portfolio, including NetHawkanalysers and functional testers along with ipNetfusion’s load testers, as well as thedevelopment of new integrated testing tools, will strengthen the companies’ presencein the rapidly growing wireless and VoIP markets.
The combination of NetHawk and ipNetfusion brings about synergy benefits forcustomers in the form of enhanced sales coverage and service as well as through abroader product portfolio. “This acquisition enhances our presence and productoffering worldwide. NetHawk’s strong presence in Europe and Asia together withipNetfusion’s foothold in the US market creates a good opportunity for growth,” saysNetHawk CEO Hannu Huttunen. “The consolidation of the companies will be startedimmediately, to leverage our synergies to enhance customer service and to bring newsolutions to our customers,” Huttunen concludes.
