NDS Expands in Russia

NDS appoints Anastasia Sviridova to head up marketing and business development in Russia

MOSCOW and LONDON -- NDS, the leading provider of technology solutions for digital pay-TV, has appointed Anastasia Sviridova to be its local marketing and business development representative for the region. She will be responsible for further development of existing business relationships as well as providing direct representation for new opportunities within the region.

NDS currently has two major operating customers in Russia, both based in Moscow. Sistema operates leading broadband pay-TV service Stream TV and Comcor TV is Moscow’s leading cable operator, with the service branded Akado. By establishing this new business representation, NDS will be better able to develop new opportunities in other areas of Russia and in the surrounding territories as well as manage existing relationships.

At the CSTB exhibition (Stand 450), which will take place in Moscow’s Krokus Centre February 5 - 8 2007, NDS will be exhibiting the VideoGuard Express™ packaged solution for small to medium-sized pay-TV operators. The solution includes world-leading VideoGuard content protection, as well as Mediahighway middleware, enabling interactive and advanced services, and a highly functional electronic program guide (EPG). In addition, NDS will feature Synamedia™ Metro middleware solution for IPTV, as well as VideoGuard Mobile™, NDS content security technology for DVB-H broadcasting to mobile devices. NDS will co-exhibit with Elogar Engineering, its Russian business partner and distributor.
