Telecommunications veteran Bjorn Kirchdorfer named executive vice president of commercial operations for Navini Networks

RICHARDSON, Texas -- Navini Networks, Inc., the leading provider of zero-install(TM) nomadic wireless broadband technology, today announced that Bjorn Kirchdorfer has joined the company as Executive Vice President of Commercial Operations. In his new role, Kirchdorfer, who has more than 15 years of industry experience at leading telecommunications companies and extensive experience with industry OEMs, will be in charge of expanding Navini's reach into international markets, as well as providing overall leadership to the sales and marketing teams at Navini. "Bjorn will play an essential role as Navini begins rapid commercial deployment of our wireless broadband product, Ripwave(TM). He is a seasoned senior executive with extensive telecommunications experience at leading companies including AT&T, Lucent and Ericsson, as well as at smaller leading- edge industry companies, in key areas of sales, marketing, business development, product management and product planning," stated Alastair Westgarth, president and chief executive officer of Navini Networks. "As Navini forges ahead into its next stage of growth, Bjorn Kirchdorfer will be an incredible asset to the organization due to his personal drive, professional network and experience in the telecommunications sector. Before joining Navini Networks, Kirchdorfer was a Vice President with IP Wireless where he was in charge of the North American sales strategy and helping to expand the company's reach in Asia. Previously he was the Vice President of Worldwide Sales for Telespree Communications, a wireless software company, and prior to that he held several key positions at Ericsson, Inc. including Vice President, Sales & Marketing, for their North American Wireless division.
