LONDON -- Mycom International, a leading global provider of innovative engineering services and leading-edge software solutions to the telecoms industry, has announced that its NIMS-PrOptima™ solution has been chosen by SFR for its UMTS, GSM and GPRS networks, in addition to its VAS, ATM and IP platforms.

SFR is a major European operator owned by Vivendi Universal and the Vodafone group. Its adoption of Mycom’s OSS (Operational Support System) Performance Management solution increases the company’s growing customer base in the European market, and demonstrates the confidence major operators and vendors are placing in Mycom technologies.

The powerful OSS software delivers near real-time, end-to-end, Network Performance Management capabilities, and is optimised to cope with the complexity of hybrid multi-vendor and multi-technology networks. It delivers flexible and dynamic data collection and loading, intelligent analysis and correlation of data, automatic detection of network issues, intelligent decision support and enterprise wide reporting.

The integration will be provided directly by Mycom and will cover network interfaces, IT interfaces, and a migration exercise from legacy products, which has formed partial coverage of the solution. The overall implementation will ensure SFR has true end-to-end coverage of its multi-technology network, and will significantly reduce the total cost of ownership by offering a single integrated management platform right across their entire network.
