SAN RAMON, Calif. -- CAIW of The Netherlands, is the first service European cable MSO to join the alliance. CAIW offers a variety of services including television, internet access and digital radio. Cable is the delivery medium of choice for entertainment and data services (TV & internet) for over ninety percent of the region.
"With almost100 percent cable penetration, it is imperative that we add value to our customers through enhanced entertainment services and capabilities," said Aart Verbree, CEO CAIW. "Imagine allowing different people in the same house to use cable as an extension of their entertainment network. Now mom can send emails from one room while dad is watching soccer in the living room and their children are battling each other via an online game from separate ends of the house. MoCA is the clear standard in the U.S. for multi-room distribution of digital entertainment and networking. This is why at CAIW, we believe MoCA could and should also work in The Netherlands and a substantial portion of Europe."
"CAIW is a company with vision," said Charles Cerino, president of MoCA. "Cable is the clear medium of communication and entertainment. By adding MoCA to their lineup of consumer offerings, CAIW will help customers envision a future that expands their home digital entertainment and networking options minus the confusing technical details."
