ACTON, MA. -- Gotham Networks, an emerging leader in the telecoms infrastructure market, today announced the appointment of networking industry veteran Michael Champa to its board of directors. A former senior executive at Ciena Corporation and Cascade Communications, Champa joins existing Gotham board members, Rob Soni, general partner at Bessemer Ventures; Mike Zak, general partner at Charles River Ventures; Jeff Hinck, general partner at Crescendo Ventures; Lou Piazza, co-founder and CEO of Gotham Networks; and Vijay Aggarwal, Gotham co-founder and CTO. Champa is currently the president and chief executive officer of networking start-up Winphoria Networks.
