MetroPhotonics Names Finance VP

MetroPhotonics taps former Nortel exec David Clark as VP of Finance and Business Development, as the company prepares to leave stealth mode

OTTAWA -- MetroPhotonics Inc., a developer of fiber optic components for long-haul, metropolitan and access networks, today announced the addition of David Clark as Vice President of Finance and Business Development. “David brings an ideal combination of international finance and business development skill along with direct experience in the optical components industry,” said John-Peter Bradford, Chairman and CEO of MetroPhotonics. “This is excellent timing as the company enters into a new phase of business – the commercialization and rollout of our products.” Mr. Clark’s most recent position was with start-up, Optenia as Chief Financial and Administration Officer, which he left in September 2001. Prior to that, Mr. Clark enjoyed a long tenure with Nortel Networks in various groups. As CFO Nortel China in the early 90’s, he led the Asian team in PRC, Hong Kong and Taiwan. He later went on within Nortel to direct financial and business development operations in Canada in R&D groups, the Carrier Packet Solutions group and the Microelectronics group. MetroPhotonics Inc.
