LAS VEGAS -- Meru Networks, the global innovation leader in wireless infrastructure for the All-Wireless Enterprise, today announced that it has further strengthened its executive management team with the appointment of Dan Steimle to Chief Financial Officer of the company. Mr. Steimle will be instrumental in scaling Meru's financial infrastructure to support the Company through its next phase of growth and development.
With more than 25 years of global financial management experience -- 12 of these specifically in the communications and networking industries -- Mr. Steimle brings a wealth of knowledge in managing the financial needs of a wide range of companies from start-ups to established organizations. Amongst his many accomplishments, Mr. Steimle has successfully executed multiple IPOs including taking Advanced Fibre Communications and Santa Cruz Operations public.
Most recently, Mr. Steimle was Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Turin Networks, a telecommunications equipment supplier. Prior to Turin, he held CFO positions with start-ups such as LCG Wireless, Inc., Transmeta, Inc. and Hybrid Networks. Before joining Hybrid, Mr. Steimle was the Vice President and CFO for Advanced Fibre Communications (AFC), a $250+ million telecomm supplier, where he was responsible for all finance, treasury, legal/contracts, investor relations and human resource functions. In addition, he held CFO positions with well-established companies such as Mentor Graphics and Cipher Data Products. Mr. Steimle received his Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Ohio State University and an MBA in Management/Marketing from the University of Cincinnati.
