OTTAWA -- Meriton Networks Inc., the leading provider of carrier-class wavelength networking systems, today announced the appointment of Robert K. Webster as chief financial officer. Mr. Webster, who has more than twenty years of communications and finance experience, will guide the use of financial resources and manage the company ’s rapid growth as it expands its presence within key service provider markets.
Prior to joining Meriton Networks, Mr. Webster was a vice president and general manager of March Networks, where he guided the company's healthcare communications business. Prior to March Networks, Mr. Webster was vice president and corporate controller for Mitel Corporation, where his responsibilities included financial planning and control, management reporting, and business advisory services for the global marketing, sales, manufacturing, engineering, and product management groups. From September 1986 to August 1988 he was vice president of finance and corporate secretary of Trillium Telephone Systems Inc., a designer and manufacturer of small business telephone systems.

Under the terms of the partnership, Sanmina-SCI will provide end-to-end services from optical design engineering to fabrication, assembly and chassis integration and test for Meriton Networks.
