LogicaCMG Boosts Citic1616 SMS
LogicaCMG's Foreign Subscriber Gateway and Messaging Application Router enable Asia's Citic1616 Telecom to enhance SMS exchange services

LONDON -- LogicaCMG today announced the integration of its Foreign Subscriber Gateway (FSG) and Messaging Application Router (MAR) into CITIC1616 Telecom Ltd, an international telecoms carrier providing a voice and messaging exchange to mobile operators across Asia.
LogicaCMG's solution will enable CITIC1616 to enhance the interoperability features of its existing Short Messaging Service (SMS) exchange. It will be deployed in conjunction with LogicaCMG's MAR to allow CITIC to offer both local and international SMS. The combined solution now offers increased flexibility for operators through enabling connections by either Internet Protocol or SS7 connections.
According to Sutton Cheung, General Manager of Product Management at CITIC1616: "The deployment of LogicaCMG's FSG solution has dramatically boosted the SMS traffic. By providing seamless messaging exchange to mobile operators, CITIC1616 is not only driving revenues but helping to enhance the quality of service and user experience for subscribers in Hong Kong."
