Limelight Networks automates IPv6 enablement for new and existing customers
June 4, 2012
TEMPE, Ariz. -- Limelight Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq:LLNW - News) today announced that it will offer IPv6 support as part of Limelight's content delivery service. As the world celebrates World IPv6 Day by turning on IPv6, Limelight's offering supports customers' ongoing transition to the next generation Internet protocol.
"The 21st century web is growing and it is being built on IPv6," said Nathan Raciborski, Chief Technology Officer, Limelight Networks. "There is a real risk to customers around business continuity as the IPv4 Internet starts fading. The rapidly diminishing number of IPv4 addresses will limit the number of end users and devices that connect to an organization's digital presence. Having built one of the world's ten largest networks, we understand how critical a customer's digital presence is to their business. We are doing our part in speeding the transition by ensuring that all customers, particularly subscriber networks and content providers, are IPv6 enabled, at no charge."
