Janos Technology hires Brett D. Rosner, former director of Lockheed Martin's Santa Barbara Focalplane, as its new president

TOWNSHEND, Vt. -- Janos Technology Corporation, a leading manufacturer of precision infrared (IR) optical components and assemblies for commercial and military markets, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Brett D. Rosner as its new President. Mr. Rosner brings with him over 20 years of experience in military and commercial electro-optics design, business development, marketing, management and leadership at such companies as Santa Barbara Focalplane, Hughes/GM and Sonatech.
Prior to joining Janos Technology, Rosner was the Director of Santa Barbara Focalplane, a Lockheed Martin Missile and Fire Control Business. Within a five year period of Mr. Rosner’s tenure, the company’s sales growth rate exceeded 1000 percent. His responsibilities included sales, new product development and profitability while steering the company into a world manufacturing leader of infrared components and imaging systems.
“I look forward to working with the talented engineers and staff at Janos Technology, expanding the product line and global services to the next tier of excellence in precision IR optical components and systems,” comments Brett Rosner.
“The appointment of Rosner begins a new and exciting era in the continued evolution of Janos Technology,” says Phil Haag, President of The Monroe Group, Janos’ holding company. Bruce Gardner, former President of Janos, will remain with the company and assume the new role of Vice President of Technology. Mr. Gardner will now have responsibility for evaluating and seeking out new technologies in coating, materials and manufacturing processes. He will also provide analytical support and due diligence of new investment opportunities.
Brett Rosner received his M.S. degree in electrical and computer engineering from UC Santa Barbara in 1984 and his M.B.A. from The Anderson School of Business, UC Los Angeles in 1997.
