IQE forms strategic partnership with CST to provide integrated epitaxial growth and wafer fabrication foundry solutions

ANAHEIM, Calif. -- OFC 2002 -- IQE plc, (Cardiff, UK) the epi-wafer specialist announces a strategic partnership with CST Global Ltd, the compound semiconductor optoelectronic foundry based in Glasgow, Scotland. The partnership extends the existing close working relationship between the companies to provide integration of the epitaxial growth and wafer fabrication technologies to satisfy the market needs for a combined foundry service. The partnership seeks to address more complex multi-stage epitaxy wafers, for fabrication by our customers into such devices as DFB lasers, buried heterostructure lasers and photonic integrated circuits.
