The partnership extends the existing close working relationship between the companies to provide integration of the epitaxial growth and wafer fabrication technologies to satisfy the market needs for a combined foundry service. The partnership seeks to address more complex multi-stage epitaxy wafers, for fabrication by our customers into such devices as DFB lasers, buried heterostructure lasers and photonic integrated circuits.
