PLANO, Texas -- Ipsum Networks, the emerging leader in end-to-end IP-layer management solutions, today announced that Robert Seebold has accepted a position as vice president of global sales and services. As vice president of global sales and services, Seebold will leverage his 20 years of proven network and systems management experience to grow revenues and develop new service offerings that increase Ipsum Networks’ market presence. Seebold will report directly to CEO Dana R. Brown.

“Bob’s strong domain expertise and experience in solving problems with large scale customers in the network and systems management arena is an asset to Ipsum Networks at this critical time in our growth,” said Dana R. Brown. “We are recruiting team members who can accelerate our expansion from a start-up to a strong competitor in the network management space.”

During his career in the high-tech industry, Seebold has successfully built businesses and created and motivated high-caliber sales teams to consistently achieve revenue goals. Most recently, Seebold was President of InfoVista Corporation, the Americas’ subsidiary of a publicly traded, Paris-based leading provider of network performance software solutions. There, he turned around business operations, re-instituting revenue growth, and market leadership in a highly competitive market. Prior to InfoVista, Seebold was President and CEO of 2ndWave Inc., a venture-backed first-generation Management Service Provider (MSP), where he grew the company from inception to a market-leading position serving the needs of large-scale Fortune 500 customers. Before 2ndWave, Seebold was Director of worldwide strategic alliances and business partner sales at Tivoli Systems, Inc., a multi-billion dollar market-leading enterprise systems management software company. At Tivoli, he helped build the company from an early stage start-up into a multi-national, billion dollar division of the IBM Corporation, and led a vertical sales division to contribute over 25% of corporate revenues.

Seebold routinely serves as an advisor to early stage high-tech companies in Dallas. In addition, as a mentor with Startech Early Ventures, a technology incubator funded by independent venture capital firms, Seebold counsels several small start-up software companies, assessing the companies’ business plans, and providing strategic direction across product development, positioning, pricing, and sales process. Seebold holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from Syracuse University.

“Working for young and aggressive software start-ups is my forte. My success has been moving small start-ups to sustained revenue growth through establishment of a scalable business model that includes powerful solution selling methods,” said Mr. Seebold. “I am thrilled with the market potential here at Ipsum. We have revolutionary technology, solving a previously unmet need, in a large and growing IP network management market. I look forward to increasing Ipsum’s early success in the market by executing our sales strategy and establishing world-class services offerings necessary to support the needs of our market.”
