COLOGNE, Germany and BERN, Switzerland -- Inquam Broadband GmbH is pleased to announce today that it has acquired a nationwide Swiss Broadband Wireless Access (BWA) concession in the 3.5 GHz band, granted by the Federal Communications Commission (ComCom).

On behalf of the ComCom, the Federal Office of Communication (OFCOM) put two technology neutral BWA concessions out to tender in December 2006, covering 100% of the Swiss population. Inquam Broadband submitted an application and bid in February 2007 and ComCom announced shortly thereafter that Inquam Broadband was the only party that submitted a bid. After a review of the application documents ComCom now decided to grant Inquam Broadband the concession at the minimum price of CHF 5.8 million. The concession consists of 2 x 21 MHz and shall run until December 2016.

Carsten Ullrich, CEO of Inquam Broadband GmbH, welcoming the outcome said "We are very pleased to have won nationwide BWA spectrum in Switzerland. We look forward to partnering with companies interested in working with us to provide innovative BWA services in Switzerland."
