Innovics Wireless pushes further into 3G market with new CEO -- will Willey look for additional penetration?
January 7, 2003
LOS ANGELES -- Innovics Wireless has announced a new strategy in the 3G market with the appointment of a new Chief Executive Officer. Tom Willey has extensive experience in the semiconductor industry and joins the Innovics team at a crucial time during its drive into the 3G market. His track record includes an impressive array of appointments including positions as Senior Director Strategic Marketing with National Semiconductor, and Vice President and General Manager for Philips Semiconductors. His appointment will enable company founder and former CEO Babak Daneshrad to concentrate on exploiting the diversity processing technology further through a new position as Chief Scientist. "Innovics Wireless is an exciting company to be involved with, and this is an exciting time for the market as well," Tom said. "The company has just unveiled its first demonstration products using its unique diversity processing capability. This will enable next-generation 3G wireless networks to deliver on the promise of genuine mobile multimedia communications. There are real gains to be made here both for operators and terminal manufacturers, particularly in the European arena." Innovics Wireless Inc.
