ImOn Communications completes acquisition of McLeodUSA's cable TV, telephone, and broadband Internet network

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -– ImOn Communications, LLC ("ImOn") announced the successful completion of its acquisition of the network and business assets of the ATS division of McLeodUSA. The telephone, video and data network in Cedar Rapids and Marion, Iowa is one of the most advanced in the United States.
ImOn (pronounced “I’m on”) will maintain offices and headquarters in Cedar Rapids , gaining approximately 40 employees and immediately adding several other employees. ImOn successfully attained the right to acquire the ATS division following an extensive bidding process initiated by McLeodUSA and after acquiring regulatory approvals from the FCC, the Iowa Utilities Board and the cities of Cedar Rapids and Marion.
ImOn will serve both residential and business customers with one of the most technologically advanced broadband networks in the country. Innovative offerings include more than 170 channels of cable television, local and long distance telephone service with the latest enhanced features, and high-speed Internet access, which enables consumers to quickly download video, audio and graphic files using a cable modem.

ImOn Communications today also announced the appointment of its management team led by Patrice Carroll as President and General Manager. Ms. Carroll brings two decades of telecommunications experience to ImOn and will lead the company from its downtown Cedar Rapids headquarters.
