Ibsen Photonics introduces 2D Phase masks for single-exposure production of square lattice grating structures

COPENHAGEN -- Ibsen Photonics, a leading supplier of holographic Phase masks, transmission diffraction gratings and spectrometer modules based on diffraction gratings, introduces 2D Phase masks for single exposure production of square lattice grating structures.

Phase mask Product Manager Kristian Buchwald comments: "Existing methods of making 2D grating structures - direct e-beam, direct holography, or 2 serial exposures with standard Phase masks - have all been cumbersome. With 2D Phase masks, 2D grating production becomes as simple as making 1D gratings has been for many years." He adds: "The Phase masks can be used both with laser illumination in a simple set-up, or to gain full production benefits our masks are as always compatible with the Suss NFH mask aligner."

Elmar Cullmann, Consultant with Suss MicroTec, adds: "This is an exciting development, which builds on the proven versatility of our MA6 NFH mask aligners. Now component manufacturers can make 2D gratings in a production environment with production equipment."

Ibsen will be presenting these new 2D Phase masks together with its other products - Phase masks, Transmission gratings, Interrogation Monitor modules for FBG sensor systems and DWDM Optical Channel Monitors at Photonics West in January and OFC in March.
