Huawei partners with 123 Multimedia to offer European mobile operators ring back tone (RBT) technology

LONDON -- Huawei Technologies, a global provider of telecommunications infrastructure, and 123 Multimedia, Europe’s leading provider of ringtones, logos and Ring Back Tone (RBT) content, today announced a partnership geared to offering European mobile operators a complete RBT solution for their end users.

Up to May 2004, Huawei RBT system has been applied for GSM, CDMA and Wireline network with the total capacity of over 10 million subscribers. Huawei CRBT platform is a carrier-grade platform including the signalling part, service processing part and IVR part. It supports three different solutions (Intelligent Network, Signalling Interception and MSC Upgrade), five access modes (IVR, Assistant, WEB, WAP and SMS) and richest features for end users to meet carriers' short-term and long-term requirements

"The partnership with 123 Multimedia enables Huawei to offer European mobile operators proven, market-tested technology. This in turn provides a range of content options to the end user,” said Edward Deng, European President, Huawei. “We firmly believe that end users will embrace RBT technology and through the Huawei and 123 Multimedia partnership, we are best-placed to assist mobile operators in delivering RBT technology to their subscribers.”
