WOBURN, Mass -- Skyworks Solutions, Inc. (NASDAQ:SWKS), an innovator of high performance analog and mixed signal semiconductors enabling mobile connectivity, today announced that Huawei, a rapidly emerging leader in network infrastructure, is leveraging multiple devices from its portfolio including downconverters, front-end modules, power amplifiers, attenuators and switches, for both GSM and WCDMA base station platforms. Over the last several years, Huawei has partnered with some of the world’s top telecommunication operators and gained market share. As a result, Skyworks' sales to Huawei have tripled since 2004 and continue to trend higher based on Huawei’s increasing traction amongst worldwide carriers.

“We are delighted to be partnering with Huawei as they expand their domestic footprint in China to the broader global infrastructure market,” said Liam K. Griffin, senior vice president sales and marketing for Skyworks. “Based on their business momentum, Huawei is becoming one of our largest infrastructure accounts as they leverage our highly integrated base station solutions.”

Skyworks’ infrastructure portfolio supports OEMs at any stage, from those implementing system upgrades to those developing next-generation designs. The Company’s range of products includes high-performance receiver front-ends, downconverters, linear power amplifiers and drivers, in addition to all the necessary RF microwave discrete and passive components. In the aggregate, Skyworks can capture up to $35 per base station with RF-intensive WCDMA solutions compared to approximately $10 of content in a 2G base station.
