(Nasdaq: HSTX), a leading provider of wireless solutions that enable the evolution of next-generation fixed and mobile broadband networks, today announced that Hormuud Telecom Somalia, Inc., placed an order for 100 of its high capacity Eclipse(TM) radios, increasing the existing installed base by 50 percent. Established in 2002 to address a telecommunications market gap in Somalia, Hormuud Telecom Somalia, Inc. is headquartered in Mogadishu, and currently serves over one million subscribers.
The new deployment is part of a long standing relationship between Harris Stratex and Hormuud Telecom, which has already installed over 200 Eclipse series radios.
