ATLANTA -- Granite Systems, the leading communications software provider of Service Resource Management (SRM) solutions, today announced that Hydro One Telecom, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hydro One Inc., has begun implementation of Granite's Xng(R) System. Hydro One Telecom will use the Xng System, complete with Xng Process Automator and order management module, to manage the service fulfillment functions for its networks and services. Leveraging its existing network management systems and its new OSS Service Fulfillment infrastructure based on the Xng platform, Hydro One Telecom can provision commercial services faster and in a more cost-effective manner than most providers.
After a thorough selection process, Granite's Xng was chosen due to its solid inventory control, provisioning and network reconciliation functionality, as well as its ease of integration and operation with other systems.
"Hydro One Telecom is pleased to select Granite's Xng System as an integral element of our OSS enhancement project," stated John Macdonald, president and CEO of Hydro One Telecom. "This project is key to Hydro One Telecom's commitment to providing excellent customer service to its customers."
