SAN MARCOS, Texas -- Grande Communications, which recently pulled ahead in the Internet wars with the fastest service in Texas, now is re-inventing its TV service with the introduction of TiVo® Premiere – bringing the vast new world of broadband entertainment choices directly to its customers’ TV screens.

TiVo Premiere, the world’s most advanced DVR, seamlessly blends live or recorded TV, Grande On Demand and Web entertainment to find and automatically record programs based on viewers’ interests. TiVo’s personalized recommendations and its smart search features help consumers find what they want to watch without the drudgery of paging endlessly through an on-screen programming guide.

One of the most exciting features of the new service is its seamless integration with Grande’s Internet Service, which now offers speeds over 100 Mbps. TiVo Premiere enables viewers to find and watch their favorite videos from YouTube, or TV shows and movies from Amazon Instant Video right on their TV screens. They can listen to music from Pandora or Live365 on their home theater system, and view family and friends’ photos on Picasa or Photobucket. And, if they use an iPad or iPhone they can take advantage of the free TiVo App to search, explore, manage and share their favorite entertainment, all without interrupting what’s playing on the television.

“With TiVo Premiere, our customers can say goodbye to channel surfing – and say hello to a much richer entertainment experience,” said Grande President Matt Murphy. “With TiVo’s unique ability to sift and present the most relevant TV and Internet video for each individual, our customers will always have something they’ll enjoy watching with just a few clicks of their remote. We’re proud to say Grande is the only service provider to offer TiVo in the Austin, San Marcos and San Antonio markets,” Murphy continued.
