RICHARDSON, Tex. -- Fujitsu Network Communications, Inc. and Brandenburg Telephone Company, Inc., today announced Fujitsu's FLASH(R)600 ADX multi-service optical platform for metropolitan regions will enable new video and entertainment services for the residents of Central Kentucky. Fujitsu's FLASH600 ADX supports the total service needs of Brandenburg Telephone Company, a local exchange carrier in central Kentucky that provides telephone and broadband service within their operating territory and enables the telephone company to provide multiservice transport for voice, video and data services. Additionally the FLASH600 ADX allows Brandenburg to fully integrate LAN (local area network), ATM (asynchronous transfer mode), and SONET services, which result in upgrades to service and enhanced performance without making extensive and expensive network-wide alterations. "The FLASH600 ADX fully meets the needs of Brandenburg Telephone, and allows us to progress with the times by providing our customers with expanded services in this competitive market," says Randall Bradley, Controller of Brandenburg Telephone Company.
