"We are pleased that Foundry continues to lead in the Layer 4-7 market," said Bobby Johnson, Foundry's chairman and CEO. Foundry's ServerIron application switches provide sophisticated Internet traffic and content management features including server load balancing, URL and cookie based switching, global server load balancing, and transparent cache switching. ServerIron and ServerIronGT E-series application switches offer modular expandability and performance upgradeability for maximum investment protection. Some of the world's most demanding customers such as AOL TimeWarner, NTT DoCoMo, and Wachovia Bank rely on Foundry ServerIron systems for server farm scalability and application security.
"The ServerIron switches permit even the largest network operators to grow their data centers gracefully, providing a powerful solution that can scale to tens of Gigabits of capacity with hardware-based denial of service protection for maximum security. The fact that the largest Layer 4-7 customers in the world use the ServerIron switch is a strong statement about the power of our solution," said Bob Schiff, vice president of product marketing for Foundry.
