FONS Appoints Arsenault

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. -- Fiber Optic Network Solutions (FONS) Corporation, a leading provider of passive fiber connectivity products and solutions, is pleased to announce the addition of Rick Arsenault to its executive management team. Rick joins the company as Vice President of Business Development and brings over a decade of executive sales and business development experience in the fiber optics industry.

Mr. Arsenault joins FONS Corporation from World Wide Packets where he was Vice President of Sales for the East Region in North America responsible for the market and sales development of next generation first mile technology and fiber optic broadband access solutions for residential and business applications. "FONS is very excited to have Rick as a member of it's executive management team. Rick brings extensive knowledge of the networking industry and fiber optic access technologies, combined with a proven record of success and accomplishment," states Michael J. "With his breadth of experience and keen leadership capabilities, Rick possesses the essential skills to lead the company's business development initiatives focused on advancing FONS' position within the emerging access markets, most specifically Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH)."

At FONS, Mr. Arsenault will direct all business development initiatives for the company and will assume responsibility for all facets of strategic and business plan development and implementation including budgeting, sales activity and pipeline management, forecasting, product marketing, customer and vendor relationship management, and contract negotiation.

Prior to World Wide Packets, Rick held numerous executive sales management positions for prominent companies within the fiber optics industry including SBC DataComm, Ameritech Data Networking Solutions, and Anixter Networking. He has a bachelor's degree from the University of Rhode Island and holds a Network Technologies Specialist Certification. Rick is also a member of the Multimedia Telecommunications Association (MMTA).
