Fibernet Group appoints former Deutsche Bank executive James Douglas as CFO

BASINGSTOKE, U.K. -- Fibernet Group plc (LSE:FIB), the bespoke network service provider, has appointed James Douglas ACA, MSc, MA (Oxon) to the board as Chief Financial Officer.

Reporting to Fibernet’s Chief Executive, Charles McGregor at the company’s Basingstoke headquarters, James, 40, brings with him more than 14 years’ specialist experience in the Finance and Telecoms sectors. He joins from Deutsche Bank AG, where he has spent the past eight and a half years working as an investment banker. As a Director in Telecoms Corporate Finance he was responsible for the provision to telecoms companies of the full range of investment banking services, including Mergers and Acquisitions, Equity Capital Markets, Leveraged Loans, High Yield Bonds, Convertible Bonds and Corporate Restructuring.

Prior to this, James spent six years at Mercury Communications Ltd, holding a number of senior roles within the company in Finance, Strategy and Regulation. He qualified as a national prize-winning Chartered Accountant with Coopers Deloitte.
