SAN MATEO, Calif. -- Sonim Technologies, Inc. (www.sonimtech.com), a leading provider of high-margin, end-to-end voice services for wireless data networks, announced today the appointment of former Vodafone executive Terry Kramer to its board of directors. Kramer is the latest addition to Sonim's high-profile independent board members, which include Robb Wilmot, former chief executive officer of ICL PLC; John Scarisbrick, former senior vice president of Texas Instruments; and John McNulty, chief executive officer of Secure Computing. "Sonim has correctly identified that voice is a killer application for wireless data networks. Its Push-To-Talk application provides an easy-to-deploy solution over GPRS and CDMA networks, allowing operators to immediately generate significant new revenue streams," said Kramer. "Equally important, Sonim has done an excellent job in building relationships with critical partners including chipset vendors, device manufacturers and infrastructure providers. I am excited for Push-To-Talk's potential in both the business and consumer markets, and look forward to working with the team to expand Sonim's leadership position." Kramer has successfully advised a number of start-up telecommunications companies, including FiberTower where he is currently an advisor and board member. While at Vodafone, Kramer held multiple positions including president of the company's national paging operations overseeing more than 3,000 employees, and vice president, corporate strategy, development and human resources where he was responsible for development of the U.S. and Asia-Pacific regions. Kramer earned an MBA from Harvard University and an undergraduate degree in economics from UCLA. Sonim Technologies Inc.
