ATLANTA -- Evolution Digital, the fastest growing supplier of digital solutions for bandwidth reclamation and next generation advanced set-top boxes, today announced that it will be demonstrating the Liberty HD uDTA Wall Plate Device at the SCTE Cable-Tec Expo in booth # 1975.

Liberty is a HD uDTA, designed in a semi-permanent installation form factor. Affixes to the wall, in place of standard F81 coax wall plates. It is HD/SD MPEG-4/2, Motorola and Cisco compliant, supports multiple tiering and RF4CE technology.

“In our deployments of millions of DTAs in the field, we see a common trend that operators face. There is a subscriber base that doesn’t want a box added to their TV. Also, with the previous DTA form factor, which typically installs to the subscribers personal home entertainment equipment (such as TVs), MSO’s are experiencing upwards of 30% equipment shrinkage during churn. With higher value HD devices, this needs to be taken even more seriously,” explains Brent Smith, President of Evolution Digital.
