STOCKHOLM -- Ericsson will supply GPRS and MMS systems to the leading mobile operator in Mongolia, MobiCom. Ericsson's telecom services, including network deployment, systems integration, network support and training programs, are a significant part of the deal.
With turnkey responsibility, Ericsson will provide the network design, deployment and integration of MobiCom's GPRS network. In addition, Ericsson will manage the multi-vendor integration of GPRS into MobiCom's existing environment. Network support and training programs will ensure smooth operations.
Ericsson's systems integration of the MMS solution will enable MobiCom to offer its subscribers advanced datacom services. The systems will be operational by October 2004.
