STOCKHOLM -- Ericsson and Telmex have signed an agreement to deploy Ericsson's TSP server platform, a key solution in rolling out advanced Intelligent Networks. Ericsson will provide TSP/IN technology to Telmex to develop convergent applications, networks and services.With TSP, Telmex will roll out the first new generation Intelligent Network in Mexico, developing and supporting new value added applications."Telmex is committed to offering its customers the state of the art in telecommunications technology in order to give them real benefits," said Eduardo Gómez Chibli, MSc., Technical and Long Distance Director of Telmex. "This new generation network will allow us to offer new value added services that further confirm Telmex's position as a world leading telecommunications operator."TSP is the Ericsson platform for high availability, real-time network servers and controllers. It is based on an open software systems architecture. TSP provides the highest fault tolerance and robustness, required for critical server functions such as user management, user positioning, and session control. The TSP Server Platform encompasses the ServiceNetworks/Applications and Control layers of the layered network architecture.In a separate release:Ericsson is planning to move its headquarters from Telefonplan in southern Stockholm, to Kista, north of Stockholm. The move is to take place in stages during 2003 and involves approximately 500 employees working within different corporate functions.Today, Ericsson is renting the premises at Telefonplan from AP Fastigheter, who bought it from Ericsson in 2000. Ericsson operations remaining at Telefonplan after the move will be among others the sales company for the Scandinavian countries and the Baltic States, Ericsson Sverige AB, Ericsson Enterprise and Ericsson Business Innovation.In 1940, Ericsson moved its headquarters from Tulegatan in central Stockholm to Telefonplan. During the late 1990's, Ericsson operations in Stockholm have increasingly been concentrated in Kista including e.g. major activities of the business unit Systems as well as research and development. Kista has established itself as the "Mobile Valley" of Northern Europe.In accordance with the plan, the new address for Ericsson headquarters will be Torshamnsgatan 23, owned by real estate company Drott.LM EricssonTeléfonos de México
