LEAGUE CITY, Texas -- ERF Wireless (OTCBB:ERFW), a leading provider of enterprise-class wireless broadband products and services, announced today that it has engaged the consulting firm of ACRS 2000 Corp. of Oklahoma City, Okla., to assist the company in the preparation of all its applications for portions of the current administration’s initial $4 billion broadband stimulus program that is designed to accelerate broadband deployment in rural America. ERF Wireless also indicated that it intends to submit at least one major multi-state application by the August 14, 2009, deadline for the first round of wireless broadband funding and will submit additional applications at later dates as opportunities are identified for low-interest loans as well as grants.

In addition to seeking direct funding as a participant in the administration’s broadband stimulus program for rural America, ERF Wireless is seeking partnerships with other potential wireless broadband stimulus applicants. As one of the largest Wireless Internet Service Providers (WISPs) in the U.S., ERF Wireless has, designed, engineered, constructed, monitored and maintained a number of high-capacity, private communications networks in rural communities and is, therefore, an excellent partner for applicants that may not have a history of proven operational performance. For more information regarding ERF Wireless’ capabilities as a partner in projects approved for broadband stimulus funding, the company invites interested potential applicants to visit our corporate website at http://www.erfwireless.com/graphics/pdfs/StimulusPartnership.pdf and contact the company for additional details.

Dr. H. Dean Cubley, Chairman and CEO of ERF Wireless, commented, “The broadband stimulus program for rural America is ideally suited for ERF Wireless since our business focus has always been providing wireless broadband services to the un-served and under-served areas of the country. And, we believe our intention to deploy the latest in WiMAX technology for virtually all wireless broadband projects the company builds utilizing stimulus funding will further strengthen our opportunities to secure stimulus funding.”
