Agilent leads third round of funding in router component startup

IRVINE, Calif. -- Entridia Corporation, a leading provider of high performance routing solutions for converged optical internetworking, today announced the completion of its $10 million dollar final segment of a two stage round of financing. This final segment was led by Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A), a global leader in designing and manufacturing semiconductor and test solutions for optical, electrical and wireless communications systems. Other key investors include S3 Incorporated, Merrill Lynch and Bayview 2000, an employee venture fund of Robertson Stephens. This segment of $10 million dollars completes the second phase of the third round of financing totaling $25 million dollars, bringing the total equity of investment for the company to $40 million dollars. Entridia will apply this funding towards the further development of their family of optical edge routing products.
