EUGENE, Ore. -- MVS Net, part of MVS Comunicaciones Group, a leading wireless carrier services company in Mexico and Latin America, and EDX Wireless LLC, the leading provider of comprehensive wireless network planning tools, announced that EDX SignalPro® was selected to design and deploy business-grade high speed wireless access in the three largest urban areas of Mexico and beyond.

MVS Net is a licensed service provider holding the MMDS 2.5 - 2.686 GHz spectrum licenses covering 67 million potential subscribers in Latin America. MVS Net is also a bandwidth wholesaler in Mexico.

When we began the network deployment, MVS Net did a very thorough evaluation of different RF prediction tools, including EDX SignalPro®. By far, EDX SignalPro proved to best fit the requirements of MVS Net. Key factors for the selection of EDX SignalPro included its highly precise prediction results for wireless data network analysis and its versatility and abundance of propagation models. Other important factors in the selection were the Point-to-Multipoint studies that support network design for NextNet Wireless and Aperto Network equipment as well as design features for 2.5-2.686, 15 and 23 GHz point-to-point links used for network back haul. Additionally, EDX technical support has more than exceeded the expectation of MVS Net.

"We are very happy to be a part of the success that MVS is experiencing in Mexico. Their current deployment, known to be the largest wireless broadband deployment worldwide, offers a unique set of challenges. With the selection of EDX SignalPro, MVS can rely on an accurate, feature rich tool to assist in the design and deployment for such a challenging network," comments EDX CEO Steven M. Totty. "We welcome the opportunity to work closely with MVS and their equipment suppliers."
