On March 1, 2022, du and Huawei successfully released SRv6 Programmable in Arabic at MWC 2022 in Barcelona. Saleem Alblooshi, Chief Technology Officer, du; and Steven Zhao, Vice President of Huawei Data Communication Product Line, addressed the audience about the recent industry developments and opportunities enabled by the superposition of Super Access Network, Artificial Intelligence, and cloud computing.

Both du and Huawei stressed the importance of SRv6 development in the telecom industry for consumers to unlock a new exciting cloud service that would provide an upgraded and unique digital experience, ultimately provide a positive impact and reshape the digital business landscape.

Saleem Alblooshi presented du's recent technical achievements in 5G mobile and network infrastructure, from fixed to wireless developments. He also stressed the importance of adopting a culture of innovation in the telecom industry to unlock additional business growth. Ablooshi also highlighted the "down to top innovation, top to down execution" disruptive model adopted by du.

Additionally, Saleem Ablooshi maintains the COVID-19 pandemic proved how vital the Internet is for communication, education, remote working, and daily life. He said, "Our dependence on the Internet and connectivity is increasing day by day. The web has become one of the essential pillars for digital transformation in a nation's life. For this reason, governments, economists, academics, and companies specializing in the digital environment are spending tremendous efforts to come up with new hypotheses and operating models to be ready to facilitate the latest digital connectivity revolution and meet all security concerns at the benefit of communities and users. " Ablooshi followed with his congratulations to the team who contributed towards the critical publication entitled ‘SRv6 Network Programming - Ushering in a New Era of IP Networks’.

In turn, Steven Zhao said, “Operators face many challenges in the 5G and cloud era as all industries migrate to the cloud, digital transformation accelerates. Huawei is committed to assisting operators in upgrading their network infrastructure. The emergence of IPv6+ has become the best choice for building cloud-network. IPv6+ can improve network capabilities from six dimensions to create high-quality bearer networks, including comprehensive connectivity, ultra-broadband, automation, deterministic, low latency, and security. To this end, Huawei has invested heavily and has achieved multiple results, including leading products, standards, and deployment. SRv6 is the core of IPv6+ protocol innovation. Huawei has been actively involved in promoting innovation and standardization since the inception of SRv6 and has achieved many significant achievements.”

At last, Saleem Alblooshi and Mr. Steven Zhao jointly released the SRv6 programmable in Arabic. They thanked each other for the great collaboration and efforts in developing the Internet for the advancement of humankind as a whole.
