NTT Docomo adds Stoke's mobile broadband gateway to its network, with Net One acting as systems integrator

SANTA CLARA, Calif. and TOKYO -- Stoke, Inc., a provider of mobile broadband multi-access gateways, and Net One Systems Co., Ltd., Japan's leading networking and systems integration provider, today announced they have been selected by NTT DOCOMO Inc. for their commercial service.

Japan represents one of the most technically advanced communications markets in the world, with leading edge mobile service offerings and a subscriber base in excess of 105 million. The new infrastructure will allow NTT DOCOMO to provide improved service and expand accessibility for users. The solution will enhance NTT DOCOMO’s ability to manage the increasing mobile broadband traffic on their RAN and backhaul infrastructure.

The Stoke Session Exchange 3000 (SSX-3000) fulfilled most-to-least criteria under an extensive technical requirement by NTT DOCOMO. Net One Systems, Japan's leading networking and systems integration provider, identified the SSX-3000 as the most suitable product on the market. The platform offers significant improvements in price per megabit of throughput, energy-usage reduction and operational savings.
