DoCoMo Offers Unlimited i-mode Mail

TOKYO -- NTT DOCOMO, INC. announced today that it will offer a new service that allows FOMA™ users to send and receive domestic i-mode™ mails, including with attachments, on an unlimited basis for as little as 780 yen including tax per month beginning December 1.

The new service, named Mail Tsukai-hodai (Japanese for "all-you-can-use mail"), applies to mail to and from any phone or PC, as it is not limited to mail communication with DOCOMO customers.

DOCOMO also announced the start of Type Simple™, a dedicated billing plan under which users of Mail Tsukai-hodai will pay just 780 yen per month (when all available discounts are applied), plus the usual i-mode monthly charge of 315 yen including tax (see attachmenthttp://www.nttdocomo.com/pr/images/00_icon_pdf.gif).

The Mail Tsukai-hodai service also covers attractive packet flat-rate services under which users pay as they go up to a maximum of just 4,410 yen per month in the case of using i-mode packet communication only.
