HONG KONG and TORONTO -- Diversinet Corp. (BULLETIN BOARD: DVNT) , a leading provider of secured mobile solutions, today announced that it has signed a cooperative agreement with Hongkong Post, the first recognized public Certification Authority in Hong Kong to develop an off-the-shelf, secure wireless e-mail service.

The new wireless e-mail service will leverage on Hongkong Post's Mobile e- Cert digital certificates, developed by Diversinet, to ensure secure remote access to the corporate e-mail system. Consumer users will also have access to this seamless, fully integrated secured e-mail service to ensure their confidence that e-mail from personal accounts is exchanged securely. The new service will be available to users of Palm(R) handhelds or Windows Mobile(tm)- based devices.

This service is an extension of a strong relationship between Diversinet and Hongkong Post, and will provide a new application for use with Hongkong Post Mobile e-Cert digital certificates. In making corporate information accessible to mobile employees, companies can rely on the strong security provided by Mobile e-Cert to ensure the confidentiality of business information. Enterprises depend heavily on e-mail as a prime communications tool, and given Hong Kong's penetration rate of more than 90% for mobile services, the availability of a solution that securely delivers e-mail to mobile users will meet a significant demand from the Hong Kong market.

"E-mail will continue to be the leading means of communication both for personal and commercial purposes," said Kingsley Li, Assistant Postmaster General (Business Development). "This new service jointly launched by the two organizations will enhance the productivity of mobile professionals while they are out of the office, and meet the demand for a high level of secure messaging."

"The new secure wireless e-mail service will give enterprises a quick, simple, and easy-to-use security infrastructure at a significant cost savings," said Nagy Moustafa, President and CEO, Diversinet Corp.

Hongkong Post and Diversinet have agreed to work together to deliver the secure wireless e-mail service to enterprise customers and consumers in Hong Kong. The joint service is expected to be rolled out in the second half of 2003.
