Experience- and business-driven connectivity and computing are becoming ubiquitous. The rise of new services, such as online healthcare, online education, online office, smart home, VR, AR, and autonomous driving, is demanding broader network connections, higher bandwidth, and content and computing that are closer to users. According to the United Nations Digital Economy Report 2019, with the wide application of digital technologies, the human society has entered the digital era. This will profoundly change our life, society, and economic models. Digital power, ensuring digital technology operates with high efficiency and reliability, forms the concrete base of Digital World.
However, traditional energy infrastructure construction lacks of overall strategy. In the digital world where everything sensing, connected, and intelligent, the application of 5G, cloud, AI, and big data will bring a series of challenge to energy infrastructure construction. Huawei combines the power electronics and digital technologies to propose "target energy network" concept.
Simple
For telecom sites, we offer one site one cabinet and one site one blade solution, support 5G-oriented site construction. When operators deploy 5G, they don’t need to change the mains supply, cabinets, power distribution and cables, equipment rooms, or engineering. This enables fast delivery and on-demand deployment and reduces initial investment. For data centers, the elastic architecture can meet the cabinet power expansion requirements and support future evolution.
Green
Improve energy efficiency from the perspectives of components, sites, and networks, Huawei uses solar energy and AI technology to achieve green power supply, further realized energy saving of sites and data centers.
Smart O&M
To address core pain points such as invisible dumb devices, high power consumption, and complex O&M, Huawei introduces intelligent technologies such as AI and Big Data. By these, site and data center energy infrastructure can realize the digital visualization, intelligent and automation O&M, we called it autonomous driving network.
Reliable
From the component level to the device level and then to the system level, multiple methods are used to ensure the reliability of site and data center infrastructures. In particular, AI technologies are used to predict and identify potential risks in advance, changing passive maintenance to proactive prevention.
In the future, Huawei will continue to implement the "target energy network" approach in new infrastructure fields such as telecom sites, data centers, and the Internet of Things (IoT), promote their rapid delivery, elastic capacity expansion, and energy saving, and build a solid power foundation for the digital world.
