November 23, 2005
SAN JOSE, Calif. -- BackWeb Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq: BWEB), a leading provider of offline and mobile web software, announced today that Deloitte, Canada’s leading professional services firm, has selected the BackWeb Offline Access Server™ to mobilize Oracle’s PeopleSoft ePerformance solution enabling mobile employees and managers to complete performance documents when on the road and disconnected from the network.
Users can now synchronize pending employee performance reviews to their laptop and continue to work on the reviews when traveling or disconnected from the network. When connection is re-established, queued work will be automatically synced with the PeopleSoft ePerformance application.
“Deloitte’s mission is to help our clients and our people excel,” said Rick Sullivan National Director of Business Services at Deloitte. “The firm is dedicated to creating an environment that attracts, retains, and promotes the talented people that our clients and our business demand. Deloitte’s focus is on getting the job done, with quality and on time, and not where the job gets done. The BackWeb solution will enable our people to work within Oracle’s PeopleSoft ePerformance application anytime, anywhere.”
“As a result of BackWeb’s integration with PeopleSoft ePerformance, our customers have begun to experience the benefits of bringing these two best-of-breed products together,” said DJ Chhabra, Oracle Vice President, Human Capital Management (HCM) Product Strategy. “With BackWeb's offline access and synchronization technology, clients can now be sure that their mobile workers will have the tools they need to be successful when they are away from the office. BackWeb's offline security protocol for web-based resources protects valuable information and meets the highest of client standards.”
