VENTURA, Calif. -- DataRemote, Inc., a leading wireless solutions provider, is proud to introduce the newest members of its management and sales teams for 2007. The new management team is committed to expanding DataRemote's reach into new markets, while introducing cutting-edge products for existing cellular modem applications.

Since 1991, Brett Cavanah led DataRemote to become one of the first companies to design, build and market wireless modems to operate on the CDMA cellular telephone network. DataRemote earned a reputation for innovation through the introduction of the CDS-9022 CDMA modem with its fallback to analog capability, particularly useful in areas where no digital data network was available. DataRemote has set the benchmark for innovation since then, providing wireless solutions for a wide array of data collection challenges for legacy applications ranging from remote meter reading and fleet management to SCADA, utility monitoring and control and wireless telemetry.

Today, owner Cavanah continues his role with the new DataRemote, interfacing with key customers, exploring and assessing new industry and market trends, and helping to sell the company's products and promote its technologies. "One key to continued success is the ability to reinvent yourself and your business. The addition of the new management team brings a lot of talent and wireless industry experience to DataRemote," said Cavanah.

New management members include DataRemote President and CEO Kris Kelkar, former Senior Vice President and General Manager for Cal Amp's Wireless Division and previously Vice President, International Markets for General Instrument (now Motorola). "DataRemote has remained a strong player in the CDMA cellular telephony market since its inception. By combining the company's strong reputation, deep customer contact and pivotal position in the market, we hope to bring a host of new wireless products and technologies to market," commented Kelkar.

Joining the DataRemote team as COO is Roberto Piolanti, who was previously Vice President of operations at CalAmp, and as Director of Operations and General Manager of North American Power Electronics Operations for Magnetek. "Using a combination of off-shore sourcing of components, operations efficiency improvements and closer sourcing relationships with key suppliers, we have dramatically lowered product costs, while improving product quality. We are now in a position to be price competitive with any other player in the market," said Piolanti.
