CDN provider appoints Ken Zhang as chief technology officer

BEIJING -- ChinaCache International Holdings Ltd. ("ChinaCache" or the "Company") (Nasdaq:CCIH), the leading provider of Internet content and application delivery services in China, today announced that Ken Zhang is joining ChinaCache's management team as Chief Technology Officer, a newly-created position, effective September 1, 2011. Dr. Zhang will lead the development of ChinaCache's technology and product portfolio.
Dr. Zhang joins ChinaCache from Ericsson where he served as Chief Technology Officer of Ericsson Greater China and North East Asia responsible for the development of technology and business strategy. Dr. Zhang also served as Chairman of the Ericsson China Academy. Joining Ericsson (China) Company Ltd. in 1994, Dr. Zhang served in senior executive roles across a number of fields including mobile product management, technology, business development, strategic marketing and sales. From 2006 to 2008, Dr. Zhang was assigned to Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications (China) Company Ltd. where he served as head of Operator Customer Units and head of Mobile Multimedia Solutions. He returned to Ericsson in 2008 as Chief Technology Officer for Greater China and North East Asia.
