SANTA MONICA, Calif. –– Boingo Wireless, Inc. announced today an agreement with Concourse Communications Group to add all of Concourse’s Wi-Fi hot spot locations at major U.S. airports to the Boingo Roaming System.
Concourse Communications operates Wi-Fi hot spots at LaGuardia Airport, JFK International Airport, Newark Liberty International Airport, and shortly, Detroit-Wayne County Metropolitan Airport and the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport.
Under the network footprint agreement, Wi-Fi access at these airports will be available to users of the Boingo Roaming System, which includes Boingo Wi-Fi users, and users of services offered by Boingo’s Platform Services partners.
“Airports are very important to the business travelers that use the Boingo Roaming System,” said Dave Hagan, president and COO of Boingo Wireless. “Through our roaming technology and relationships with over fifty leading hot spot operator partners like Concourse, we provide our major carrier customers coverage in the places their users need it most -- on the travel ribbon.”
“We have seen a significant increase in airport Wi-Fi usage – growing at about 300% per year based on our experience – and working with companies like Boingo will help us to generate the traffic necessary to keep usage growing dramatically,” said Joe Beatty, CEO of Concourse Communications.
