CAMBRIDGE, U.K. -- Bango, the world's largest channel for mobile internet content, has appointed Peter Saxton as Chief Financial Officer with immediate effect.

Mr Saxton, a Chartered Accountant, joins Bango at the beginning of an important stage in the Company's development where his wealth of experience will be of great value to the Company as it expands its presence across mainland Europe and North America.

Mr Saxton is experienced in all financial disciplines including accounting, fund-raising and acquisitions. Previously at PayPoint, the UK's leading branded utility bill payment company, Mr Saxton was responsible for all corporate finance activity and enabled the company to profitably process more than £2 billion of payments per year.

Prior to PayPoint, he held a number of senior financial positions including working at Nexus Payment Systems which provided services to clients in the LINK ATM network. Whilst there, he was part of the three-man management buy-out that led to the company's successful European expansion and its subsequent disposal to Sligos, a leading French payment system business.

At Bango, Mr. Saxton's responsibilities will be to provide financial leadership, direction and policy guidance to the Company as it continues to grow rapidly and, in particular, ensure the Company's operational efficiencies are maintained as its global roll-out gathers pace. Bango has already enabled thousands of content providers in more than 20 countries to engage with over 10 million mobile internet users worldwide.

"Bango is in a rapid growth phase as more and more people download entertainment content to their mobile phone and use the Bango Service to get to and pay for this content," said Ray Anderson, CEO of Bango. "Peter will help us focus on maintaining tight cost controls during this exciting period of the company's development and brings valuable knowledge of building settlement processes."
