Bada Networks emerges from stealth mode; announces executive management team

SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Emerging from stealth-mode, Bada Networks is repositioning Amity Systems to deliver its massively scalable real-time IP video processing and collaboration platform. The company previously operated under the name Amity Systems, Inc.
With real-time IP video and social-based collaboration on the rise, there is a need for solutions that scale to the large user base in the IPTV, mobile, and desktop markets. Bada Networks is delivering a future-proof platform to enable partners and customers to create innovative applications and managed services that utilize multiple streams of real-time video.
Bada Networks’ platform is based upon patented, next-generation technology to manage, route, and process thousands of real-time video streams. This platform enables seamless integration of desktop and videoconferencing, large-scale collaborative video surveillance, and new breeds of social/entertainment applications.
To capitalize on its breakthrough technology, Bada Networks has appointed industry veterans Anson Chen as President and CEO, Matthew Klapman as Vice President of Marketing and Product Management, and Ryan Ross as Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Business Development.
Anson Chen brings 22 years of experience building innovative products and solutions and turning technology incubation to profitable businesses. He served as Corporate Vice President and General Manager of Motorola’s Enterprise Business and Motorola Software Group. Previously, Anson has held executive management positions at both Cisco Systems and Netscreen/Juniper Networks.
Matthew Klapman, J.D., brings 18 years of marketing strategy, product innovation, and intellectual property management. He served in senior executive positions for strategic marketing, product/portfolio management, and R&D at Motorola and was the founder and CEO of Future Vision Technologies, Inc., acquired by Fujitsu Microelectronics. An innovator/expert in UI design/interaction, video hardware, and system/software engineering, Matthew holds seven patents.
Ryan Ross brings 25 years of new and emerging technologies, sales, and business development experience. He served as Vice President responsible for channel development and alliances at Pay-by-Touch as well as Vice President of e-VISA, Visa International. Ryan also served as Senior Vice President Head of Sales for Indivos, acquired by Solidus Networks, and has been actively involved with various start-ups.
