Azzurri Communications acquires mobile consultancy company Axxent Voice and Data for up to £2.7M to expand its wireless offering

NEWBURY, U.K. -- Leading communications and technology company, Azzurri Communications, today announced that it has acquired Axxent Voice and Data Ltd, a leading mobile consultancy company, for a maximum consideration of up to £2.7m. Based in Kingston, Axxent has annual turnover of £5m and employs 30 staff. This transaction sees Azzurri complete its eleventh acquisition in four years, confirming its position as one of the UK's largest independent Voice and Data Companies with annual turnover in excess of £75m.
Axxent specialises in providing and managing products and services such as mobile voice, mobile data, e-mail and telematics to clients including Buckingham Palace, The Inland Revenue, Courts PLC, BHS and TetraPak. The acquisition will allow Azzurri to strengthen its current highly successful mobile offering with this award winning business. Azzurri's enhanced Mobile Division will be headed-up by Axxent Chairman, Paul Butler, who will become Divisional Director, and Axxent Managing Director, Martin Flick, who will work alongside Andrew Clark as Sales Director.
