SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Airespace, Inc. today announced that the American University of Paris (AUP) has selected the Airespace Wireless Enterprise Platform to deliver Wireless LAN (WLAN) services to students, faculty, and staff across its seven building urban campus. The Airespace WLAN system, deployed in conjunction with Airespace value added reseller Cyber Networks, is being used to improve the educational experience on campus through better online collaboration and easier access to coursework and supporting material.

Founded in 1962, AUP is the oldest American institution of higher learning in Europe. It is an independent college of liberal arts and sciences, with a mission to educate generations of academic, social, political, intellectual and business citizens of the world and to enhance the advancement of scholarship in international, multicultural, and plural environments.

"AUP has always valued technology as a way of furthering the education process," said Eric Cisternas, Director of University Computing at The American University of Paris. "Wireless LANs facilitate the way that students, faulty and staff interact. When it came to selecting a WLAN system, Airespace's advanced security and management capabilities separated it from the pack."
